BooYaa Golf is proud to celebrate a major milestone with one of its most iconic ambassadors, Daniel van Tonder, officially being named as the first South African selected to compete in this year’s prestigious Nedbank Golf Challenge, taking place at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City, from 4 to 7 December.
Dubbed “Africa’s Major,” the Nedbank Golf Challenge is one of the continent’s most elite tournaments. For van Tonder, it marks his second appearance at this event, having made his debut in 2014. This year, the stakes (and his form) are higher than ever. Following a standout season on the Sunshine Tour, where he clinched four titles and won the 2024 Courier Guy Order of Merit, van Tonder has earned his spot in this DP World Tour showdown.
He also returns to familiar fairways. The Gary Player Country Club was the stage of his 2021 South African Open victory, a course that has witnessed some of his greatest moments.
